HOLLY BERRY CHRISTMAS

Hi Crafters! Today is the first day I've stamped in 2 weeks! Work has been super busy and this evening I finally have time to rest a little and had to hit my stamp room! Stamping and creating are my stress releasers! This card is one we will create this month at my Sunrise and Stamps class. The card is chocolate chip c/s layered with Holly Berry Bouquet dsp. The buttons are also Holly Berry Bouquet and both can be found in our Holiday Mini. Oh and the little jingle bell can also be found in the Mini. I like this card a lot and will re-create it for family members this year! Thanks for visiting!

Fabric Gift Bag

Hi Crafters! So today I was checking out someones blog which led me to another blog, then another...well you know what I'm talking about, right? Anyway I found this site where two mothers are now "going green" and creating their own sandwich bags out of fabric! They also had gift bags which gave me the idea to try these two I've posted. WARNING; this is just my fourth sewing project and I'm obviously a novice! But it was an easy project and I'm okay with the results. The fabric is Candy Cane Christmas. Thanks for visiting!

Treat Jar

Hey Crafters! Todays share is a fun party favor idea for the holidays. I used fabric for embellishment instead of ribbon. The fabric is Spice Cake, I know...again! But I love it and its perfect for fall. Thanks for visiting!

Fall Card

Hey Crafters! Today's share is a fall card using Soft Suede c/s. The image is stamped on Very Vanilla c/s using the hostess set from the Holiday Mini, Warmest Wishes. The image was heat embossed with gold embossing powder, after embossing I used the Two Way glue pen to add orange Stampin' Glitter. The ribbon is retired Pumpkin Pie but it works with this, right? Thanks for visiting and have a great week!

PIN CUSHION

Hey Crafters! Sorry I've been MIA; a lot going on but I'm getting back on track now. Today I made this pin cushion using our Springtime fabric, I'm using this as a way to store my retired buttons. My class will be making a similar project next month! Thanks for visiting!

MORE SPICE CAKE

Hey Crafters! Sorry but I cannot get enough of our Spice Cake dsp and fabric. Just love it! This card is Early Espresso C/S, layered with Early Edition dsp and that is layered with More Mustard c/s. The stampset used is from the Holiday Mini, Gently Falling. The images are stamped with VersaMark, More Mustard and Soft Suede classic inks. The "ruffle" at the bottom is the Spice Cake dsp and the button is Spice Cake large buttons...to die for! Thanks for visiting!

SO SHELLI COPY

Hey Crafters! Today's share is a card that I copied from a Shelli Gardner project. I can't remember if I found it on her blog or in our Stampin' Success magazine. Isn't it vintagy (is that a word?) cute? The card is Crumb Cake c/s, the torn c/s is Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla. The Very Vanilla was embossed with the oval Designer Frame embossing folder. The stampset used is Creative Elements for the background, stamped with Crumb Cake classic ink and Nature Walk (the bird image) both from the 2011/2012 Idea Book and Catalog. The bird was stamped with Baja Breeze classic ink. There is a strip of First Edition Speciality dsp. The ribbon is Rose Red Seam Binding; I also punched a piece of Rose Red c/s with the Decorative Label punch. I really like a vintage looking card and Shelli's designs always inspire me. Thanks for visiting!

A LITTLE SEWING

Hey Crafters! It's Friday afternoon and WOO-HOO my day off! My work schedule has changed and I am not off Friday and Saturday! LOVE it! Today's share is a modification of a sewing project I did a couple of months ago at a Crafty Owls class ran by my friends Kelly and Liz; totally awesome young women! Anyway the pillow is from that class but I changed the pillow "band" and made one using our new Spice Cake fabric and included our new Spice Cake large buttons. A simple project with a super cute result. I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for visiting!

SPICE CAKE DSP

Hey Crafters! One of my favorite things about the Holiday Mini is the Spice Cake dsp! The colors, the design...all of it is perfect to me. I used three different designs for this card share today; seriously, isn't it beautiful dsp? Did you ever imagine that blue, in this case SUp! new In Color Pool Party; would look so great during the fall? Because I didn't! But I am in love, love, love with these color combos. Oh and BONUS! There is also Spice Cake FABRIC! Yummy is the word you're looking for! Thanks for visiting!

MODIFIED PETAL CONE DIE

Hey Crafters, it's been a while; sorry. I tried to use "scheduler" on Blogspot to schedule my posts to post, but evidently messed it all up. So a quick post to share this treat box or favor box made with the Petal Cone die which had to be modified by cutting off the tip and scoring to make it fold and sit flat. The "box" is Soft Suede c/s. The leaves are made with the Leaves #2 die, I first covered a piece of chipboard with Spice Cake dsp from the Holiday Mini...oh but this is some gorgeous dsp and BONUS, there is matching fabric that can be purchased! Thanks for visiting!

FRENCH FOILAGE STAMPSET

Hey Crafters! Today's card share uses just one stampset, French Foilage. The card is Chocolate Chip c/s layered with Very Vanilla c/s. The Very Vanilla is stamped, torn and sponged to give it an aged look. The leaf image is stamped with Always Artichoke classic ink on Very Vanilla c/s which is layered on a piece of Always Artichoke c/s. Thanks for visiting!

RIBBON FLOWER

Hi Crafters! I've seen this technique around for about a year, maybe longer really not sure. But today I thought I'd give it a shot and I'm very pleased with the results. This card is Crumb Cake c/s, the ribbon is retired, Melon Mambo dotted, but we have a new version that is Scallop Dots Ribbon and it comes in Melon Mambo, I bet the scallop edge would look great for this flower. The stem is a strip of Old Olive c/s and so is the leaf, I just folded a small piece in have then cut a tear drop "sort of" shape out of it. Can you tell with the flower pot is? It's Chocolate Chip c/s punched with the Cupcake Builder punch, just the cupcake holder part. I added a small strip of the Chocolate Chip c/s on top to give it the "pot" look. Isn't this just too cute? Thanks for visiting!

MONOCHROMATIC LAYOUT

Hey Stampers! Today's project share is a card idea that's been around awhile; monochromatic...a creation using the same colors or different shades of the same color. This card uses Pink Pirouette and Pretty in Pink; it's a simple layout but I think it's lovely! The flower is cut with our Fun Flowers die and the Big Shot, the center of the flower uses a Pretty in Pink button. The ribbon is satin Pretty in Pink, a small sentiment is added with the Tiny Tags stamp set and the Jewlery Tag punch. Oh, not sure if you can tell but the flower has a little dazzle from being sprayed with alcohol with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint added to it. Thanks for visiting!

HALLOWEEN

Hey Crafters! Today's project share uses a sneak peek item from the Holiday Mini, the owl is stamped using the hostess set in the mini, Warmest of Wishes; SUCH a cute set! The card is Concord Grape c/s layered with Pumpkin Pie dsp from the Bold Brights paper pack and a strip of Concord Grape dsp from the In Color paper pack. The black lace and stamped sentiment are both retired items, sorry but they just went so well with this card. The glimmer brad is from the In Color glimmer brad set. I have to admit I thought this was kinda cute, hope you like it too. Thanks for visiting!

FOR BABY

Hey Crafters! Today's project share is perfect for a baby shower...obviously! LOL The card is Daffodil Delight c/s layered with dsp from the Bold Brights paper pack. The stampset is Easy Events. If you are looking for a stampset to cover multiple events this is the one for you; birthday, wedding wishes and even Christmas plus more! It's item #116958 if you'd like to look it up. Thanks for visiting!

A PROJECT IDEA

Hey Crafters! Hope you had an enjoyable, creative week-end. After my stamp class yesterday I was able to come home and do a little creating; today I did some more after laundry and cleaning...guess which of the three was the most fun?! LOL! Today's project share is an idea I had for a couple of months, it's a pin made with Springtime Vintage fabric. I used Circles #2 die to cut circles to create the "petals". I cut all the circles using the second to the smallest circle, I then folded them in "cone" shapes and layered them on a circle (made with the same die and the second to the largest circle)after covering the circle with Sticky Strip. After adhering them on the circle I used a strip of the fabric and just twisted it and adhered it to the center of the flower. I felt it still needed a little something so I adhered a retired pearl from the old Pretties Kit to the center of the twisted fabric middle...is any of this making sense? LOL I think I have a good idea here but need to refine it so I'll call this my "draft" or my template for a better looking future copy. Sorry the pictures are a little weird, I had the flash on one and not the other but hope you get the idea. Thanks for visiting!

FRENCH FOILAGE

Hey Crafters! A quick post this evening; before I share the project I want to tell you how happy I was when I discovered the French Foilage stampset from our 2010 Holiday Mini was carried over! LOVE IT! The card is Crumb Cake c/s layered with More Mustard and Very Vanilla c/s. Soft Suede c/s was punched with the Dotted Scalloop Ribbon Border punch then adhered to the More Mustard layer. If you have this set I hope you'll get it out and get ready to use it for fall! Thanks for visiting!

TAKE TWO

Hey Crafters! I hope your week is starting out well. I have a class this Saturday and I am almost done but still need to emboss one piece of one card they will make and then pack class supplies, I'm ahead of schedule! Today's share is my second posting of my new segment, I shared in a previous post that I would be recreating projects from magazines with all SUp! product. I've decided to call the segment Take Two, meaning once again from the beginning...you know, starting the project from the beginning utilizing all SUp! product! The project above is from Card Maker magazine; my Take Two is below. The card is Basic Black c/s layered with Lucky Limeade (NEW in-color), Rich Razzleberry and So Saffron c/s strips. The stampset used to stamp the star and other small image (I don't know what it's called) is Pennant Parade. I stamped with VersaMark then embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. The sentiment is stamped with a retired set, sorry. SUp! does have a "bat" punch but I don't own it so I added a Basic Black Glimmer Brad. I hope my future attempts come out as good as I feel this one did! I hope you enjoy it, thanks for visiting!!

CONVENTION SAMPLE

Hey Crafters! WHEW! Today I finished the touches on the last of 125 wedding invitations I've been working. I had a hold up on a few when I ran out of ribbon! I will post samples after the bride mails them out. Wedding invitations are fun, especially when you are making them for a friend! Today's card share is straight from a workshop kit I received at Convention. It was a great surprise to get this bonus gift, everyone at Convention was so excited! The card is Early Espresso c/s layered with Marina Mist c/s that was die cut with the Scallop Squares Duo die and the Big Shot, Whisper White c/s is layered on that. The stampset is Easy Events, the image is colored using classic inks and a Blender Pen. The ribbon is Marina Mist striped grosgain. Have a great week! Thanks for visiting!

MODIFIED TABLET

Hey Crafters! Are you looking forward to a creative week-end? Yeah, me too! Today I stopped at Wal-Mart and found they have a new aisle, well new to me anyway. They had a whole bunch of bins with .99 items! I know right?! Just like Target does! So I bought a couple of tablets, they're 7 1/2 x 3 1/2 and decided to "dress" one up tonight. The cover is Rich Razzleberry c/s and also includes Rich Razzleberry dsp from the Brights dsp pack. The flower is made from Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry c/s using the Fun Flowers Bigz die and the Big Shot. Have a STAMPALICIOUS week-end! Thanks for visiting!

BIG SHOT PROJECT

Hey Crafters! Today's project share idea came from our SUp! demonstrator business sight. As a demonstrator we have acess to a free business sight from Stampin' Up! with business resources and tools including project ideas and videos and lots more! When I saw a picture of this project on the site I realized that I haven't used the Pillow Box die with the Big Shot for over a year! WOW! All three major pieces of this project use the Big Shot. The Pillow Box is Melon Mambo c/s, the label was created using the Lots of Tags sizzlits die set and the butterfly with the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. The stampset used to stamp the tag is Clearly for You. Thank you for visiting!

GIFT CARD HOLDER

Hey Crafters! It has been a crazy week-end; although I've been able to stamp, our hot water heater is on the blink and something is going on with the pool equipment...oh well, blessings come in twos, right? LOL Today's project share is a gift card holder. The card is Wild Wasabi c/s layered with a piece of Just Add Cake dsp. The stampset used is Easy Events, I received it at Convention and I'm OH SO glad I did! Layered on the dsp is a piece of Daffodil Delight c/s embossed with our new Designer Frames embossing folder and the Big Shot. To create the closure I punched 3/4" circles of Chocolate Chip c/s and added brads from Vintage Trinkets to adhere to the gift card holder. I was quite excited with the outcome and hope you enjoy it as well. Thanks for visiting!

NEW BLOG SEGMENT

Hey Crafters! I am beginning a new segment on my blog. I frequently receive requests from friends asking how to re-create a card or scrapbook page they've seen in a magazine with Stampin' Up! products. I will probably do this two or three times a month. This first re-creation is of a card I found in the September 2011 CardMaker magazine, see above. My re-creation below uses Crumb Cake c/s layered with Whisper White c/s, which is layered with Crumb Cake c/s embossed with the Big Shot and Square Lattice embossing folder. The leaves are Whisper White c/s cut with the Big Shot and Leaves #2 die. The ribbon is Whisper White satin, the pearls are from the Basic Pearls set which I inked with Crumb Cake classic ink. I hope you enjoy this new segment and thanks for visiting!

WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!

Hey Crafters! Today's share is about something exciting that happened to me at Convention earlier this month. I submitted a video for a SUp! video contest and I won second place! I can't explain how thrilled I was! The contest was for a video of a Stampin' Up! event or product, mine was based on a product. So what did I win? Well, besides running (Yeah, I KNOW!) on stage and receiving a big hug from Shelli Gardner and a hand written card from her; I received a $150 gift certificate to shop in our Idea Book and Catalog! Yay Me! Today I received my shopping spree order, ALL Big Shot dies and our new Embossing Folders-Designer Frames! So here are pictures of my "loot" and my card. Our team, including me, was crying (we were so shocked!) and no one thought to get a picture! Thanks for letting me share this exciting moment and thanks for visiting!

THREE BY THREE CARDS

Hey Crafters! Here are a couple of 3x3 cards to share. I love these little cards. They are great to have in your desk in case someone at work has a birthday; or if you just want to give some kudos to a co-worker! The stampset used for both cards is Pennant Parade. The card on top uses Naturals White cardstock, Blushing Bride cardstock was used for the scallop punch. I think I got the idea for this one from the 2011/2012 Idea Book and Catalog. Wild Wasabi cardstock was used for the bottom card. The gift package was made with the 1 1/4" square punch and a 1x1" piece of Just Add Cake dsp. The bow on the gift was made with the Blossom Bouquet punch! Cute right? The sentiment on this card was not from the Pennant Parade however, it is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stampset. Thanks for visiting!!

CONVENTION SWAP

Hey Crafters! WOW! What a time it's been! Did you enjoy the pictures from Convention in the previous post? I am in awe of the creativity that comes out of Stampin' Up! One of the things most people love about Convention is the "swaps". This is where a deomonstrator brings card "fronts" to swap with other attendees which is a great inspiration resource. I don't usually do the swaps as I don't seem to make the time to make them, but this year I decided to do a swap with my house-mates and this is the project I want to share today. The card base is Soft Suede c/s layered with Baja Breeze c/s that was embossed with the Framed Tulips embossing folder and the Big Shot. The images were stamped on Whisper White c/s. The stampset is new and available in out new 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog, it's called Creative Elements. I stamped the flower in Baja Breeze classic ink then "rolled" the inked stamp in Soft Suede classic ink to ink just the tips. I adhered the flower with Stampin' Dimensionals. The butterfly is stamped with Pear Pizzaz classic ink; the sentiment was inked with all of the three colors using Stampin' Write markers. I am in love with this stampset! Thanks for visiting!

CONVENTION 2011

Hello Crafters! Last week I was at Stampin' Up! Convention and had a blast. Instead of a project today I would like to share some beautiful pictures of Convention displays all created by SUp! staff. Seriously SUp! has the most creative employees! Enjoy and I'll post a project in a couple of days! Thanks for visiting!

RE-PLAY

Hey Crafters! I believe I got the layout idea for this card from either our Stampin' Up! catalog or our Stampin' Success magazine but for the life of me I can't find the sample! I was happy to discover all of our fabrics PLUS some new fabric are in the new 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog! Listen, I can't sew a lick but I love fabric! Is that crazy? I don't even know where the desire came from but there you have it. I am still wanting to purchase a simple, cheap sewing machine some day and who knows, maybe by Christmas I can make a placemat! LOL! Okay so the card is Crumb Cake c/s and the fabric is from Deck the Halls fabric set. Ink used is Crumb Cake and new in-color Calypso Coral, beautiful! Thanks for visiting!

ON BOARD MERRY MEDLEY

Hey Crafters! How about this cute card? I used the Owl Punch as you can see; the card is Pacific Point c/s layered with Daffodil Delight c/s cut with Top Note die and the Big Shot. But there are a couple of new items on this card, the balloon and the Old Olive strip layered with Whisper White c/s and the sentiment are both chipboard pieces from our new Merry Medley On Board chip board. I covered the balloon using a piece of dsp from the Bold Brights dsp paper pack. I am going to be using this On Board chipboard like crazy this season! Thanks for visiting!

MORE PENNANT PARADE

Hey Crafters! Here is some more fun I had with the Pennant Parade stampset and the Petite Pennant punch! I also used the Just Add Cake dsp and the Fancy Favor die with the Big Shot. Couldn't you just see this for a child's birthday party? Isn't it cute? I also added a 3x3 card. The sentiment on the Decorative Label punch is from the Create a Cupcake stampset. Thanks for visiting!

LUCKY LEMONADE

Hey Crafters! Today's project share uses another of the new In-colors, Lucky Lemonade. Don't you just love the names SUp! comes up with for their colors? The card is Pretty in Pink c/s, layered with Lucky Lemonade c/s. The scallop square was cut using Pretty in Pink dsp and the Bigz Scallop Square die and the Big Shot. The next layer is Early Espresso c/s and Whisper White c;s layered on top. The images are stamped using the Charming stampset. I really like this stampset a lot and was happy it wasn't retired. Thanks for visiting!
