BUTTERFLY MOMENTS

Today was card class and we had great fun making 4 vintage cards. Afterwards I still had the creative "mojo" going and after cleaning up, I retired to my craft room. I decided to make a couple of cards and wanted to use some of the new In-Colors; but now to find a stamp set. Last year at convention we received the Flight of the Butterfly (111564) stamp set; can you believe I have never used this set EXCEPT at convention?! How can that be? It's a great set and I used it to make these two cards. I also used 3 of our new In-Colors; Crushed Curry, Soft Suede and Melon Mambo. Thanks for visiting, enjoy.

QUILTED TOP NOTE CARD

I am IN LOVE with this technique, I found it on Kristen Fuller's blog...so very simple! All you need are scraps of dsp, cardstock, the Top Note die and the Big Shot. Cut 12 pieces of your dsp at 1.25 x 1.25, adhere to 3.75 x 5 whisper white cardstock; then run through your Big Shot using the top Note die. Cute and easy, right? I am going CRAZY cutting strips of dsp to make more of these! ENJOY!

A GIFT FROM A DEAR FRIEND!

This evening I'm going to post something NON-STAMP related...but I just HAD to share. My dear friend Leslie made me this sweet, sweet gift! She made this purse for me and I just LOVE it. For those of you that know me, my purse is very organized! I carry several small bags (think small make-up type bag) in my purse separating stuff; I put lipstick, hand lotion, etc. in one; medicine, tylenol, etc. in another...hm-m-m what's the definition of obsessive compulsive disorder? LOL! Back to my new purse! It is great for a person that likes to have everthing in it's place. Leslie put pockets of various sizes all around the inside of the bag...beautiful!
So enjoy and THANKS AGAIN LESLIE!

TRYING SOMETHING NEW

Let me start by saying I can't sew a LICK! No, I'm serious! Just ask my 7th grade teacher who gave me a D because she had never had a student with less sewing talent than me...HER words! Fast forward 45 years (YIKES!!!); this Thursday the Town of Buckeye is hosting an event for home based business owners and I am going to have a table as a SUp! demonstrator plus we each get to present some product, etc. from our business. I decided to demonstrate the Big Shot most specifically the Matchbox BigZ die. We're all looking to cut corners, right? So why not demonstrate how beautiful favors can be created for CENTS! But I also wanted to have a few items on my table for attendees to look at that were created with the Big Shot...and now I'm BACK to the sewing! I bought a jean tote from Hobby Lobby and wanted to do something with it using the Big Shot; I used the Flowers Layer #3 and the SUp! Birds and Bloom sizzlet to cut felt. But it needed something; my neighbor to the rescue and SHE sews on some SUp! ribbon...but now I need to add my cut-outs; I felt bad asking my neighbor for help again so I whip out my GLUE GUN! I know, I know...but it's just for show afterall; surely it will hold up for one evening!! LOL! So here's the finished product...I sure stepped out of my comfort zone on this one!

25% - 50% SAVINGS!

I know there are some people that do not like change; but I'm one of those people that LOVE change! Whether it be a new job, new procedures on the job...I like it! For me change spices things up a bit; alleviates the boredom, the same ol' - same ol' if you will. So imagine my elation at the release of our NEW Idea Book and Catalog...no, n0t yet, July 1st! Of course with that change comes another, a list of stamps that will no longer appear in the new catalog. Is there a stamp set, dsp, or scrapping kit that you've put off purchasing? I have a link on the side bar. Click on it to access the list and check it against your WISH LIST so you can decide which items you need to purchase now before they are gone. That includes the current IN-COLORS, they will be gone 6/30! I just went online and ordered plenty of in-color cardstock! While sad to say good-bye to Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango...etc. I can't WAIT to see what Stampin' Up! has in store for us next month!
Do you love saving money while replenishing your stampin'/scrappin' stash? ME TOO! Stampin' Up! also has a list of accessories that will be discontinued! Stock up now! Walk, don't run to your computer or phone to order now!
