LOVE BIRD VALENTINE

Hi Crafters! WHEW! What a month I've had! Three days at Leadership in Nashville then stayed an additional 11 days with family; then home for a week and on Saturday off to California for my Aunt Becky's 80th birthday party. I am having stamping withdrawals as I haven't been in my stamp room for quite a while! My project share today is a card I made before I left for Leadership. It uses the Love You Much stampset. The card is Crumb Cake c/s layered with Whisper White c/s and Real Red dsp. Thanks for visiting!

ANOTHER MAKE-N-TAKE

Hello Crafters! Tonight is my last night in Nashville, boo-hoo have to say good bye to my family; but I wanted to share another quick easy Make-n-Take project we did at Leadership. I have been planning on making this project for some time but haven't gotten around to it, until Leadership that is! This is a note pad holder made with one of our Clear Mount stampset cases, can you tell? It will hold a 5x7 tablet, well, once a couple of inches have been removed. How do you like the key trinket? It is a new item available in the Occasions Mini, love it! I haved calculated how much has to be cut off but I will and post a picture of that later. These are very easy to make and will be a project for my February team meeting! Thanks for visiting!

HYBRID MAKE-N-TAKE

Hello Crafters! Today's project share is another Make-n-Take from Leadership; it's a hybrid card using My Digital Studio. Isn't it cool? There's even a staple just below the word Love! And it's all made with our digital MDS program all I did was add the ribbon! I have decided to create a couple of projects of this type for a workshop and/or monthly class, I know the quality of the design, color and paper will impress. I don't use my MDS enough and this project really re-ignited my interest in creating more projects. Every month SUp! adds more MDS downloads that can be purchased at a reasonable price; downloads include brads, ribbon and dsp just to name a few. Thanks for visiting!

LEADERSHIP IS OVER

Hey Crafters! Well, I'm not even sure where to begin; I was hope late each night from Leadership and just too tired to post updates, sorry. The last thing we did on Friday was our Make-n-Takes and I didn't leave there until 10:30pm. Saturday was the first day I got to spend with my family so I didn't post then either. Today church with one of my brothers then more family time and here I am at 5:40pm finally updating. I will share several pictures over the next couple of days but today I want to share one of our Make-n-Takes, a Simply Adorned 1 1/2" x 2" charm, a 34 " chain and one Vanilla Pearl Bauble. We created three inserts for the charm using the Clearly For You stampset in the Occasions Mini, a beautiful set that I just fell in love with! I haven't completed the Make-n-Takes as for the monogram insert ribbon and fabric will be added to the chain plus a crown charm, when the heart insert is used instead of chain black ribbon will be used and for the birds on the branch crochet ribbon will be used in place of the chain. This was such a fun project and a big WOW for us demonstrators as Make-n-Takes usually consists of cards and scrapbook pages only. It was such a fun and awesome surprise! Thanks for visiting!

LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE 2011

Hey Crafters! Today was the first day of conference and a lot of exciting things happened. It is late so I will not post a lot here but I did want to post a picture of me and my new purse! At every Convention and Conference you receive a bag (that's what they're called but I guess you could call them totes) with your stamp set and other Stampin' Up! goodies. Friends on my team all tease me because I LOVE receiving my bag! I have this thing about purses, totes, bags, etc. so all I think about once I register for an event is THE BAG! (my friend Nancy is laughing right now!) Okay, off to bed, thanks for visiting. Stay tuned for pictures of sample projects and the conference later.

IN NASHVILLE

Hello Crafters! I am in Nashville and was unprepared for the snow, the internet weather indicated 70% possibility...I had NO IDEA it would happen. So no project share today but here is what I came into. As you can see from my appearance I am from Arizona!! My family got a kick out of my apparel! The first picture and last picture are taken on my brother's deck, the one immediately below is from the front porch.Yes it was cold! I did bring a couple of pair of jeans but tennis shoes don't cut it in the snow, going out tomorrow to look for some boots! Tomorrow afternoon I'll be at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel for a class titled: Managers' Reception: Be there Next Year! I'm excited to learn what that have to share. Thanks for visiting!

BAG TAG

Hey Crafters! I am busy packing to leave tomorrow to Nashville for SUp! Leadership Conference. Conference starts Thursday but I'm leaving early to spend time with my brothers, sister and their families. I will be posting pics of all the fun goings on at the event so please stay tuned! My share today is my bag tag for the event. At Leadership Conference and Convention we receive a bag; imagine a couple of thousand women walking around with the exact same bag! Almost everyone does something to be able to identify their bag from the others. I used the Two Tags die and the Big Shot; I adhered Newsprint dsp to a piece of cardboard that came with Red Glimmer paper in the Occasions Mini before putting through the Big Shot. Those are my initials on the Mini Vintage Tag. Well, off to finish packing, thanks for visiting!

POPPY PARADE

Hi Crafters! I've had a busy week, making lists so I won't forget to pack something important for Leadership Conference next week, getting work caught up on my desk at work and prepping for a class that will take place while I'm in Nashville! I love the Leadership conferences, this is just my second one but I can't wait to get there! But back to today's project; the card base is Poppy Parade c/s layered with Whisper White c/s. I used the Top Note die and the Big Shot to die cut a piece of Poppy Parade dsp from the Level 1 Hostess In-Color Dsp Pack, isn't it pretty? There are 60 sheets of In-Color dsp in that paper pack! The stampset used is Hello Again stamped on Whisper White c/s layered on Poppy Parade c/s. Poppy Parade, Pink Pirouette, and Pear Pizzazz classic inks used. I have to tell you that I love this stampset, that sweet flower can be used on a multitude of cards for different occasions. Speaking of occasions...the Occasions Mini is now "live" and ready to be ordered from, if you don't have a copy and would like one please email me with your address and I'll get one out to you! Thanks for visiting!

A LITTLE VINTAGE

Hello Crafters! For today's share I was trying to go for a vintage feel. The card base is Basic Black embossed with Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and the Big Shot. I used dsp from Love Letter as a strip on the card base and Newsprint for the "flower". The idea for the "flower" came from Tim Holtz's blog; he has a die that makes a "rosette" which I based my flower on. I have tried this befoe by folding a strip of paper back and forth but when I saw Tim's blog and how his rosette comes off the die scored; I took the strip of Newsprint dsp and scored it at 1/4" by laying it on my grid sheet and using the scoring tool, pretty simple. What I like about the outcome is the sharp edges. The other idea from Tim's blog was to use the hot glue at the center of the "flower" to apply the brad plus apply a little dab of the hot glue to the back and cover with a 1" punched circle; this caused the "flower" to stay together and lay nicely when applied to the card. Yes, I'll be making more of these in different sizes! The stampset used is Tiny Tags and the Jewlery Tag punch. Other items used are Victoria crochet trim, Raven Lace Trim (Holiday Mini) and Vintage Trinkets. Thanks for visiting!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hello Crafters! Happy 01.01.11! I pray you have a wonderful year of stamping, crafting and creating! Today's share is a 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 card using Night of Navy for the card base layered with dsp from the new Springtime Vintage dsp that will be available on January 4th in the Occsions Mini; oh my but I LOVE this dsp! The scallop squares were cut using the Scallop Squares Duo die and the Big Shot, I ordered this some time back and just used it for the first time, isn't it cool? Okay then I layered the larger square with more of the same dsp and added Baja Breeze Book Binding that is also available in the Occasions Mini on January 4th. The stampset used is Vintage Vogue. Can you tell its "sparkley"? I used VersaMark and Iridescent Ice embossing powder to get that look, I like it I really like it (sorry, line from movie The Holiday by little girl laying next to Cameron Diaz unter "tent", I have a lot of movie lines in my head and tend to use them time to time). Have a fantastic day; thanks for visiting!
