FRENCH FOILAGE STAMPSET

Hey Crafters! Today's card share uses just one stampset, French Foilage. The card is Chocolate Chip c/s layered with Very Vanilla c/s. The Very Vanilla is stamped, torn and sponged to give it an aged look. The leaf image is stamped with Always Artichoke classic ink on Very Vanilla c/s which is layered on a piece of Always Artichoke c/s. Thanks for visiting!

RIBBON FLOWER

Hi Crafters! I've seen this technique around for about a year, maybe longer really not sure. But today I thought I'd give it a shot and I'm very pleased with the results. This card is Crumb Cake c/s, the ribbon is retired, Melon Mambo dotted, but we have a new version that is Scallop Dots Ribbon and it comes in Melon Mambo, I bet the scallop edge would look great for this flower. The stem is a strip of Old Olive c/s and so is the leaf, I just folded a small piece in have then cut a tear drop "sort of" shape out of it. Can you tell with the flower pot is? It's Chocolate Chip c/s punched with the Cupcake Builder punch, just the cupcake holder part. I added a small strip of the Chocolate Chip c/s on top to give it the "pot" look. Isn't this just too cute? Thanks for visiting!

MONOCHROMATIC LAYOUT

Hey Stampers! Today's project share is a card idea that's been around awhile; monochromatic...a creation using the same colors or different shades of the same color. This card uses Pink Pirouette and Pretty in Pink; it's a simple layout but I think it's lovely! The flower is cut with our Fun Flowers die and the Big Shot, the center of the flower uses a Pretty in Pink button. The ribbon is satin Pretty in Pink, a small sentiment is added with the Tiny Tags stamp set and the Jewlery Tag punch. Oh, not sure if you can tell but the flower has a little dazzle from being sprayed with alcohol with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint added to it. Thanks for visiting!

HALLOWEEN

Hey Crafters! Today's project share uses a sneak peek item from the Holiday Mini, the owl is stamped using the hostess set in the mini, Warmest of Wishes; SUCH a cute set! The card is Concord Grape c/s layered with Pumpkin Pie dsp from the Bold Brights paper pack and a strip of Concord Grape dsp from the In Color paper pack. The black lace and stamped sentiment are both retired items, sorry but they just went so well with this card. The glimmer brad is from the In Color glimmer brad set. I have to admit I thought this was kinda cute, hope you like it too. Thanks for visiting!

FOR BABY

Hey Crafters! Today's project share is perfect for a baby shower...obviously! LOL The card is Daffodil Delight c/s layered with dsp from the Bold Brights paper pack. The stampset is Easy Events. If you are looking for a stampset to cover multiple events this is the one for you; birthday, wedding wishes and even Christmas plus more! It's item #116958 if you'd like to look it up. Thanks for visiting!

A PROJECT IDEA

Hey Crafters! Hope you had an enjoyable, creative week-end. After my stamp class yesterday I was able to come home and do a little creating; today I did some more after laundry and cleaning...guess which of the three was the most fun?! LOL! Today's project share is an idea I had for a couple of months, it's a pin made with Springtime Vintage fabric. I used Circles #2 die to cut circles to create the "petals". I cut all the circles using the second to the smallest circle, I then folded them in "cone" shapes and layered them on a circle (made with the same die and the second to the largest circle)after covering the circle with Sticky Strip. After adhering them on the circle I used a strip of the fabric and just twisted it and adhered it to the center of the flower. I felt it still needed a little something so I adhered a retired pearl from the old Pretties Kit to the center of the twisted fabric middle...is any of this making sense? LOL I think I have a good idea here but need to refine it so I'll call this my "draft" or my template for a better looking future copy. Sorry the pictures are a little weird, I had the flash on one and not the other but hope you get the idea. Thanks for visiting!

FRENCH FOILAGE

Hey Crafters! A quick post this evening; before I share the project I want to tell you how happy I was when I discovered the French Foilage stampset from our 2010 Holiday Mini was carried over! LOVE IT! The card is Crumb Cake c/s layered with More Mustard and Very Vanilla c/s. Soft Suede c/s was punched with the Dotted Scalloop Ribbon Border punch then adhered to the More Mustard layer. If you have this set I hope you'll get it out and get ready to use it for fall! Thanks for visiting!

TAKE TWO

Hey Crafters! I hope your week is starting out well. I have a class this Saturday and I am almost done but still need to emboss one piece of one card they will make and then pack class supplies, I'm ahead of schedule! Today's share is my second posting of my new segment, I shared in a previous post that I would be recreating projects from magazines with all SUp! product. I've decided to call the segment Take Two, meaning once again from the beginning...you know, starting the project from the beginning utilizing all SUp! product! The project above is from Card Maker magazine; my Take Two is below. The card is Basic Black c/s layered with Lucky Limeade (NEW in-color), Rich Razzleberry and So Saffron c/s strips. The stampset used to stamp the star and other small image (I don't know what it's called) is Pennant Parade. I stamped with VersaMark then embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. The sentiment is stamped with a retired set, sorry. SUp! does have a "bat" punch but I don't own it so I added a Basic Black Glimmer Brad. I hope my future attempts come out as good as I feel this one did! I hope you enjoy it, thanks for visiting!!

CONVENTION SAMPLE

Hey Crafters! WHEW! Today I finished the touches on the last of 125 wedding invitations I've been working. I had a hold up on a few when I ran out of ribbon! I will post samples after the bride mails them out. Wedding invitations are fun, especially when you are making them for a friend! Today's card share is straight from a workshop kit I received at Convention. It was a great surprise to get this bonus gift, everyone at Convention was so excited! The card is Early Espresso c/s layered with Marina Mist c/s that was die cut with the Scallop Squares Duo die and the Big Shot, Whisper White c/s is layered on that. The stampset is Easy Events, the image is colored using classic inks and a Blender Pen. The ribbon is Marina Mist striped grosgain. Have a great week! Thanks for visiting!

MODIFIED TABLET

Hey Crafters! Are you looking forward to a creative week-end? Yeah, me too! Today I stopped at Wal-Mart and found they have a new aisle, well new to me anyway. They had a whole bunch of bins with .99 items! I know right?! Just like Target does! So I bought a couple of tablets, they're 7 1/2 x 3 1/2 and decided to "dress" one up tonight. The cover is Rich Razzleberry c/s and also includes Rich Razzleberry dsp from the Brights dsp pack. The flower is made from Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry c/s using the Fun Flowers Bigz die and the Big Shot. Have a STAMPALICIOUS week-end! Thanks for visiting!

BIG SHOT PROJECT

Hey Crafters! Today's project share idea came from our SUp! demonstrator business sight. As a demonstrator we have acess to a free business sight from Stampin' Up! with business resources and tools including project ideas and videos and lots more! When I saw a picture of this project on the site I realized that I haven't used the Pillow Box die with the Big Shot for over a year! WOW! All three major pieces of this project use the Big Shot. The Pillow Box is Melon Mambo c/s, the label was created using the Lots of Tags sizzlits die set and the butterfly with the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. The stampset used to stamp the tag is Clearly for You. Thank you for visiting!

GIFT CARD HOLDER

Hey Crafters! It has been a crazy week-end; although I've been able to stamp, our hot water heater is on the blink and something is going on with the pool equipment...oh well, blessings come in twos, right? LOL Today's project share is a gift card holder. The card is Wild Wasabi c/s layered with a piece of Just Add Cake dsp. The stampset used is Easy Events, I received it at Convention and I'm OH SO glad I did! Layered on the dsp is a piece of Daffodil Delight c/s embossed with our new Designer Frames embossing folder and the Big Shot. To create the closure I punched 3/4" circles of Chocolate Chip c/s and added brads from Vintage Trinkets to adhere to the gift card holder. I was quite excited with the outcome and hope you enjoy it as well. Thanks for visiting!

NEW BLOG SEGMENT

Hey Crafters! I am beginning a new segment on my blog. I frequently receive requests from friends asking how to re-create a card or scrapbook page they've seen in a magazine with Stampin' Up! products. I will probably do this two or three times a month. This first re-creation is of a card I found in the September 2011 CardMaker magazine, see above. My re-creation below uses Crumb Cake c/s layered with Whisper White c/s, which is layered with Crumb Cake c/s embossed with the Big Shot and Square Lattice embossing folder. The leaves are Whisper White c/s cut with the Big Shot and Leaves #2 die. The ribbon is Whisper White satin, the pearls are from the Basic Pearls set which I inked with Crumb Cake classic ink. I hope you enjoy this new segment and thanks for visiting!
