GLITTER BIRD

I have been wanting to try this for some time; using multiple glitter colors on one stamped image. I'll admit, it was a slow process; mostly so the glitter colors wouldn't run onto each other but it was not difficult. I stamped the image with the Friends 24/7 stamp set from the SUp! 09/10 Idea Book and Catalog. The card base is Chocolate Chip c/s with a layer of Whisper White c/s, then a layer of dsp from the Sweet Pea dsp pack in the Occasions Mini. There is also a layer of Old Olive c/s under the stamped image. I used glitter from the Fine Cosmo and Fine Supernova sets in the 09/10 catalog. After first stamping the image in Versa Mark, I applied Heat and Stick powder, set with a Heat Tool, then I applied the glitter by using several scraps of c/s to apply the glitter. I was actually quite happy with the results. I used Old Olive grosgrain ribbon and stamped a sentiment with the Tiny Tags stamp set and punching with the Medium Jewelry Tag punch both from the Occasions Mini. Thanks for visiting!

VINTAGE SCRAPBOOK LAYOUT

I am working on a 12 month scrapbook of my life as I leave the 50's...I CANNOT BELIEVE I put that in writing! ANYWAY, here are a couple of pages I designed using the Vintage Vogue stamp set from the Occasions Mini. I mean "vintage" and me turning 60 in December, just makes sense, right? (smile) The pages are 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 and I used Very Vanilla and Mellow Moss c/s. I used the Kind Thoughts Brocade stencil with Creamy Caramel classic ink. The flowers are Rose Red Craft ink and I embossed them with Clear Embossing powder. Thanks for visiting!

NANA REQUEST

My 9 year old grand-daughter, Jaelyn, constantly brings me different shaped envelopes and or small containers. She likes to ask me to re-create them, "make this Stampin' Up! Nana", "can you make this Stampin' Up! Nana?"...I love that she thinks Nana can do anything! So she brought me the container above the other day that was the packaging for some bright girly-girl nail polish and I gave it a shot. What I came up with is below; I was very pleased with myself. I used Whisper White c/s that I stamped with Baroque Motifs and Almost Amethyst ink. I punched the front with the 1 3/4 circle punch then covered with a window sheet. I used the Large Oval punch for the handle then added embossed butterflies from the Stampin' Up! Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die (Occasions Mini). But here was a plus I had not even TRIED to make happen, this little container is PERFECT for 3x3 cards and envelopes! Yippee, April "accident" project! Thanks for visiting!
Not sure if you can see the cards I added in the one above.

SPRING IT WITH "AUTUMN"

Don't put your stamp sets away just because they're "seasonal" and you feel you won't use them again. Here's an idea using the stamp set Autumn Days, but instead of playing up autumn or fall colors, I used Soft Subtles; Apricot Appeal and Mellow Moss then added Regal Rose after I "stamped it off". I also added Dazzling Diamond to give it some bling. I finished the card off with Regal Rose grossgrain ribbon and Autumn Days rub-ons! I think this will make a great Easter card for my Pastor, what do you think? Thanks for visiting!

VINTAGE FANCY BOX

I used the Fancy Box die and cut two Fancy Boxes with our Big Shot to create this look; one with Very Vanilla and one with Bordering Blue, the handle is also Bordering Blue which I punched with the Scallop Trim border punch in the Sale-A-Bration mini. The stamp set I used is Vintage Vogue (Occasions Mini) and I also used the Extra Large Fancy Flower punch from the same mini on the front of the box. Imagine creating something like this for a wedding or shower favor but instead of using Vintage Vogue and the letter F; you could use the initial of the bride and or groom! Cute, right? THANKS FOR VISITING!

EASTER BASKET

Thought I'd work on gift ideas for some of my co-workers and created this basket today. The basket is Whisper White c/s and the handle is Certain Celery c/s. I created the ruffle look on the handle with White Taffeta ribbon and embellished the basket with the Eggcelent Eggs Kit from the Occasions Mini. This kit also included the adhesive-backed rhinestones! Before I put the basket together I punched the edges with the Scallop Trim Border Punch from the Sale-a-Bration mini, remember, it's FREE!! Thanks for visiting!
I tried to angle this picture so you could see more of the scallop edge.

ANOTHER EASTER CARD SHARE

Hey Friends! Sharing another Easter card today. I just received my new Textured Impressions Folder, SUp! Perfect Polka Dots (Occasions Mini) and knew it would really set this design off. The card base is Chocolate Chip c/s, layered with Pretty in Pink c/s that was put through the Big Shot with the textured folder. The ribbon is Certain Celery and Chocolate Chip satin, both also in the Occasions Mini. Stamp sets used are Vintage Labels from the SAB mini, which was punched using the SUp! Scallop Punch and the sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. This card has a simple look about it that I love but the Impressions Folder gives it that OOMPH that we all like in our paper crafting. Thanks for visiting!

EASTER CARD

Time for another Easter card sharing. The card is Old Olive c/s and the dsp is Shades of Spring (Occasions Mini). The stamp set is Abundant Hope, I stamped the flowers on a Sending Love Note Hug (Stamp set and Hug from Occasions Mini). What I love about this flower stamp is that you can just ink and stamp or you can color in the flowers and leaves after you stamp, giving them more contrast. This Abundant Hope stamp set is so beautiful! You won't be sorry if you order it! Thanks for visiting!

DSP PRETTY ENOUGH TO FRAME!

I was creating a card with our Sweet Pea dsp (Occasions Mini) and was once again impressed with the beauty of this packet of paper! I realized I could actually frame some of these beautiful pages for my home, office or as a gift. So that's just what I did! I bought several of these frames at a discount store last year and still had a couple on hand. After cutting the dsp and putting it in the frame I decided to add some some Chocolate Chip ribbon and Sweet Pea Stitched Felt flowers (Occasions Mini). I am very happy with how this came out; I made it for a gift but I have the perfect little corner on my desk at work for it...hm-m-m-m, what to do!! Thanks for visiting!

GET READY FOR EASTER PROJECTS!

Okay, I've begun my Easter projects so get ready for the cards, scrapbook pages and 3D projects! Here's my first card post, it's 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 and it fits perfectly in our 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 envelopes. I used Pretty in Pink for the card and a strip of Shades of Spring dsp from the Occasions Mini. I used a "Kiss" note and small square glassine envelope for the sentiment, the sentiment and flower stamps are from the Abundant Hope stamp set; I then added a Pretty in Pink epoxy brad. Like the dsp; the "Kiss" note, glassine envelope, epoxy brad, and stamp set are all from the Occasions Mini. Thanks for Visiting!

ALTERED COMPOSITION BOOK

Today I began piano lessons! I KNOW!!! I wanted to challenge myself to learn something new before I turn 60 in December so Krystle, a young lady and co-lead on our Worship team is teaching me. What fun! So I had to show up for my first lesson with a notebook and ready to learn and take notes. Well really, I can't come with a regular composition book so here is what I created. I took many notes and I'm looking forward to playing Twinkle-Twinkle Little Star! LOL! The dsp is Razzleberry Lemonade. Thanks for visiting!
