BOOKMARKS

Hello Crafters! Todays share is straight from Splitcoast Stampers tutorial. I love bookmarks, could have something to do with the fact that I love reading but I do really like different bookmarks. The one from the SSC site was made with 4x4 c/s and the Concord Grape one below is 4x4, it was a little large for me so I made the Old Olive one above with a piece of 3x3 c/s. I also used Island Oasis dsp with the Old Olive and used Pumpkin Pie c/s, the stamp set is Tropical Party the stamp set and dsp are in the Summer Mini available through 8/31. We made the 3x3 one at our team meeting today and it was well received. I hope you enjoy it, thanks for visiting!

WONDERFUL FRIEND

Hey Crafters! Today's share is a card I made for a friend that recently moved to Florida. We were best buds in Sacramento for years; and when I moved to Arizona 5 years ago we stayed close. The c/s is Riding Hood Red which I stamped with the Baroque Motifs stamp set (#113490) and Riding Hood Red Classic ink. The envelope is Very Vanilla c/s cut with the Scallop Envelope die (#113462) and the Big Shot, after I cut the envelope I embossed it with the Finial Press embossing folder (#115963). The sentiment is stamped with the Wonderful Favorites stamp set (#115114)and the Riding Hood Red Classic ink. The ribbon is actually some retired Riding Hood Red taffeta I had left over from last year but really works here, don't you think? Thanks for visiting!

NOTE CARD GIFTS

Hello Crafters! I'm excited about today's share. My friend Leslie loves to send cards and note cards and she really likes the clean, minimal look and here is what I came up with. This is a set of four 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 note cards. The c/s is River Rock and Whisper White, the stamp set is Crosses of Hope (#117136) from the 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalog. Oh but this set is beautiful! The cross was stamped with River Rock then I applied Frost White Shimmer Paint (#116854) with a sponge directly on top of the inked stamp before stamping the image on the Whisper White c/s, the sentiment is from the same stamp set using River Rock ink but without the Shimmer Paint. I then packaged it all in a cello bag with a topper, I think Leslie will really like this set. Thanks for visiting!

EARLY ESPRESSO & BLUSHING BRIDE

Hello Crafters! I had such a wonderful Friday evening! I conducted a workshop at Amy Jo's and met some great ladies, I think everyone had a wonderful time, I know I did! Today's share uses the new Vintage Wallpaper (#120175) embossing folder available in the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog. I embossed (using the Big Shot) the Early Espresso c/s for the card then layered with Blushing Bride c/s, one of the new In-Colors. The ribbon is also Blushing Bride (#119267). The stamp set used is Water Color Trio (#117050) from the Summer Mini, as I said in an earlier post, I'm going to make a few projects using this set as it will no longer be available after August 31st and I just love it! What I love about using an embossing folder is that you can make a beautiful card quickly, isn't this a great card? Thanks for visiting!

MOVERS AND SHAPERS

Hello Crafters! A new friend I've met loves bumble bees. Tomorrow she is attending a class I am conducting and she asked if I would please use the stamp set Just Buzzin' By (#113228). As we are making several projects and due to time constraints I decided to keep it relatively simple and not use water coloring techniques, for which this stamp set is PERFECT. But I wanted to do something a little different so here is the outcome. The c/s is Tempting Turquoise which I cut with the Big Shot and Movers and Shapers die. I stamped the flower and a bee with Black Staze On then the little back dots behind the bee to indicate it's in flight then used the White Gel Pen to add a few highlights. I stamped another bee then colored it in and added Dazzling Diamonds to the wings then punched it with the Curley Label punch (#119851) and placed it inside the punch made by the Movers and Shapers die. It may be hard to see but I also added two tiny pearls from the new Basic Pearls kit (#119247) on each side of the punch on the Tempting Turquoise c/s. I hope my friend enjoys creating this card. Thanks for visiting!

PEACH PARFAIT

Hello Crafters! Today's share uses the In-Color, Peach Parfait. Each new season Stampin' Up! introduces five In-Colors that are available for two consecutive years. Stampin' Up! does this to keep their color palette fresh and on-trend; and the colors coordinate beautifully with the existing color family. This project uses Chocolate Chip and Whisper White c/s. The Whisper White was embossed using the Big Shot and Square Lattice (#119976) embossing folder. The stamp set is the new hostess stamp set Because I Care. Seriously, isn't this flower gorgeous?? The top of the flower is Peach Parfait classic ink and the stem is Certainly Celery. The sentiment is from the Water Color Trio (#117050) stamp set in the Summer Mini. This stamp set is only available through August 31st, I just realized that and will have to make a few more project using it because it is a beautiful set. Thanks for visiting!

VINTAGE VOGUE

Hi Crafters! I've been absent a couple of days preparing for my class yesterday. Everyone made 10 cards each which required a LOT of cutting and prep; but I love it! Here is one of the cards we created with the Vintage Vogue set. The c/s is Night of Navy which was layered with a strip of the new Daffodil Delight. The Night of Navy c/s is stamped with the vine and flower image from the stamp set using Night of Navy Classic ink, it's just on the side to give it a little sump'n, sump'n. The flower is stamped with Daffodil Delight Classic ink then cut out, a little bling is added from the new Basic Rhinestones kit (119246). Thanks for visiting!

VINTAGE CHERRY COBBLER

Hello Crafters! I am excited to share this project with you because I adore the new Cherry Cobbler color from Stampin' Up! It can be used for all projects but I sure love it with a vintage look. For this project I used the Artistic Etchings (#118517) stamp set from the new 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalog. I stamped the background with Cherry Cobbler classic ink and layered with Basic Black c/s which I crumbled to give it an aged look then layered that with a piece of dsp from the Newsprint dsp (#117166) which I punched with the Spiral Border (#119872) punch and completed the project with Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon. I sure hope this picture does the Cherry Cobbler color justice! Thanks for visiting!

TROPICAL TOP NOTE

Hello Crafters! I hope you had a great "crafty" week-end, I was able to spend a lot of time in my stamp room organizing; actually, RE-organizing then creating. I re-organize in there a lot, I will create for months then one day move something and decide to re-organize; do you do that? Today's share used the Stampin' Up! exclusive Top Note die and the Big Shot. The cardstock is Tempting Turquoise. I covered a 5x4 piece of Whisper White c/s with the Island Oasis dsp from the Summer mini. If you like this paper you may want to get it soon as it is not carried over in the 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalog. After covering the c/s I cut it in the Big Shot then layered it on the Tempting Turquoise. I used the Tropical Party stamp set for the flower and palm leaf. I added some Dazzling Diamonds to the flower for a little pop. Thanks for visiting!

TOTALLY CHARMING

Hello Crafters! today's project uses a stamp-set that was first shown in the Occasions Mini and was such a hit it is in the 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalog. I can't tell you how happy I am about that! This is a great stamp set for all paper crafting but it's also great for creating inserts for the Simply Adorned necklace charms and/or bracelet charms. Love It! The cardsock on this card is Crumb Cake (was Kraft) and Old Olive. I used the new Crumb Cake ink for the background stamp but used Chocolate Chip for the stamped image within the tag. Speaking of that tag, I got the idea for it from an old SUp! catalog! I hope you don't throw your's away, they sure come in handy for great ideas...hence the name, IDEA BOOK AND CATALOG. I'm very happy with the outcome of this card. This is a Level 3 card my class will be creating at my July 17th class in Buckeye. If you live in the West Valley of AZ we would love to have you join us, contact me for more information. Thanks for visiting!

WITH A STENCIL

Hello Crafters! I hope you had a three day holiday like I did, I had a great time with family and completing a project for a friend's wedding. Today' card share uses a new "returning" color, Pink Pirouette. I bought the Elegant Trio stencils a while back and this is my second attempt at using them. I used Soft Suede Classic ink for the stenciling by rubbing the ink in with a sponge dauber. I also layered with 1.5" of Soft Suede c/s and 1.0" of Pink Pirouette. I used the Vintage Vogue stamp set for background on the Soft Suede c/s and to cut out the flower. The sentiment is also from that stamp set. Before adhering the flower I spritzed with the Log Cabin Smooch Spritz spray, cool effect, no? This is one of the cards we will create at my July 17th Sunrise & Stamps class in Buckeye. If you are in the neighborhood send me an e-mail for more information on that class. Thanks for visiting!

MARINA MIST

Hello Crafters! Today I'm sharing a card created using the new Marina Mist, isn't it a lovely blue? I also used the new Daffodil Delight as a layer. The ribbon is the new 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Marina Mist. The buttons are the Bitty Buttons from the Summer Mini that are also in the 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalog. The stampsets used are Hostess Level 1 "Because I Care" for the sentiment and Itty Bitty Bits which I used with the Bitty Buttons. Thanks for visiting!
