M.I.A.
Hello Crafters! Sorry I've been MIA for a week +; I'm having wireless connection problems so I gave up and "borrowed" the family PC to get a post done. The card I'm sharing today was created with some new product from our 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalog being released July 1st. The base cardstock is our new Early Espresso and the card layer is our new Daffodil Delight and Whisper White. The ribbon is our new 1/8" Taffeta and is also Early Espresso, but I really want to talk about the stamp set. I love it! It is a Hostess Level 1 stamp set called Because I Care (like the sentiment); I have to tell you EVERY one of the Level 1 Hostess sets are GORGEOUS! It will be hard to pick just one and you will want them all! HOW do you get your hands on one? Just hold a qualifying workshop in your home with family and/or friends and not only will you be able to select a free stamp set but you will also receive an amount of "cash" in which to select free product! But seriously, is this set not beautiful? And easy peasy to create. I stamped the flower with Elegant Eggplant and used my Old Olive Stampin Write Marker for the stem and leaf

Father's Day Card
Hello Crafters! Today's card share is the card I gave my hubby today for Father's Day. I wanted to share it because I find it difficult to make masculine cards so was happy with this result. The card is Chocolate Chip c/s, the dsp is from the Occasions Mini and is retired but I felt these designs were perfect for this card. The sentiment is stamped on Whisper White c/s with the Wonderful Favorites (#115114) in the current Idea Book and Catalog and is not a retiring set I'm happy to say. For the side embellishments I punched a piece of Chocolate Chip c/s with the Modern Label (#116630) punch then cut it in half and adhered half to each side of the dsp folding back the end; I then used the White Gel pen to make the faux brads. Thanks for visiting!

SWEET SCOOPS
Hello Crafters! Today's card share uses a sweet stamp set from the Summer Mini; Sweet Scoops (#117078). This set is great for a summer event, children's party; even a bridal shower. I used Creamy Caramel c/s (it's retiring) for the card and stamped the ice cream cones on Very Vanilla c/s using the Creamy Caramel craft ink. Doesn't that cone look good enough to eat? After stamping in Melon Mambo I added Dazzling Diamonds to give it that shimmery look. I used the Wide Oval punch and punched Melon Mambo, Chocalate Chip and Very Vanilla c/s and stamped the sentiment with Melon Mambo craft ink. The sentiment is also from the Sweet Scoops stamp set. Thanks for visiting!

UPSY DAISY
Hello Crafters! Here's a card share with the Upsy Daisy stamp set which is not retiring. The card is Kraft c/s and the dsp is the Travel Journal from the Holiday Mini, the same dsp used on the card below. I stamped the image with Whisper White Craft ink directly on the dsp to get that great look. I added Regal Rose 5/8" Grosgrain ribbon to complete the look. Thanks for visiting.

ON A JOURNEY
Hello Crafters! Still thinking about returning from visiting my son in Washington state I want to share a travel themed card with you. The card is Night of Navy c/s and the stamp set and dsp are from the Summer Mini. The stamp set is Sentimental Journey (#118513) and the dsp is Travel Journal (#117156). I am really enjoying using this stamp set and dsp not just for cards but for my vacation scrapbook pages; I think you will enjoy it also. Thanks for visiting!

TART AND TANGY
Hello Crafters! Well, I'm back home from visiting my son and his family in Washington state. What's the worst part of visiting my son? LEAVING!! Now to try and cheer myself up by getting back to some stamping. Here's a card I created today that will be one of the projects my June 19th class will create. It uses Real Red, Whisper White and scraps of Old Olive, So Saffron, and Pumpkin Pie c/s. As the title indicates the stamp set used is Tart and Tangy, this set is not retiring. It's a fun summer set that I've enjoyed using over and over again. The sentiment is from the Hello Again stamp set and I added a Bitty Button from the Summer Mini. I used the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack, also from the Summer Mini, to punch the Pumpkin Pie c/s to add behind the button. I also used a thin strip of Whisper White c/s instead of thread to the button. Thanks for visiting!

A Little Razzle Dazzle
Hello Crafters! I am in Washington visiting my son and his family and having a great time! Yesterday I had my first Korean lunch, yummy! Here is a card share using the Razzle Dazzle stamp set (#116714) from the current Idea Book and Catalog, this set will be in the 2010/2011 catalog also. I used Rich Razzleberry c/s and the Razzleberry Lemonade dsp. Not sure if you can tell but I added a little "dazzle" to the stamped image by using Versa Mark, Heat and Stick powder and Iridescent Ice Embossing powder; I did this over the entire piece of c/s that I stamped the image on. The tag is a Mini Vintage Tag (#118763) from the Summer Mini. Thanks for visiting!

ANOTHER TROPICAL OASIS
Hello Crafters! Here is a second card with the tropical theme from the products available in the Summer Mini: the Tropical Party stamp set (#118515) and Island Oasis dsp (#117173). The card is Old Olive c/s and I used a strip of Kraft c/s for accent. The flowers are from the Pretties Kit, these flowers all come white but are EASILY dyed to match any project! I used Pumpkin Pie and Tempting Turquoise classic ink pads and a dauber to dye these. Thanks for visiting!
