PRETTY IN PINK

I love the Sending Love dsp from the Occasions Mini! There are so many beautiful designs it's hard to pick a favorite! I wanted to make a card with this beautiful Pretthy in Pink sheet, half of the sheets in the dsp are "sparkly"! So pretty! So here's a card I put together using Basic Black c/s as the card base and a piece of Whisper White for a side border which I punched with the FREE Scallop Trim Border punch from the Sale-a-Bration mini catalog. I added Organza Ribbon on the border then used the Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8 and 1 1/4 circle punches to add the sentiment. I used the Love You Much stamp set for the sentiment then punched a small heart out of Pretty in Pink c/s for the center of the sentiment and added some Dazzling Diamonds to it before adhering to add a little more "bling". Can ANYTHING have too much BLING??? LOL! Thanks for visiting!

12X12 TWO PAGE LAYOUT

Last week I had a workshop and the hostess selected the Happy B-day Simply Scrappin Kit for her family/friends to stamp and scrap with. Here are two of the four pages we created that evening. I enjoy scrapbooking and love using our kits not just for their beauty but for the ease of use; most especially how fast I can prepare a complete scrapbook. Each kit contains several sheets of 12x12 c/s and dsp and six 6x12 sheets of coordinating die cuts. I bought the new Kisses notes and Glassine envelopes from the Occasions Mini just for this project. Thanks for visiting!

CONGRATS STEF!

A friend of mine just got married in Sacramento; I'm so happy for her and her new hubby! Well OF COURSE I had to make a congrat card, right? What to do, what to do...I began with Kraft c/s then added a layer of dsp; I chose to use Razzleberry Lemonade. This dsp is so versatile. I then used our Full Heart punch to punch the heart shape on the card and added some Melon Mambo ribbon that I tied through the punched heart. I then stamped the love birds from our Love You Much stamp set (see post below about that) on the new Kisses love notes and colored them in using Bermuda Bay classic ink and a Blender Pen. The branch under the birds was made with the new Extra Large 2-step Bird punch. After adhering the new Small Square Glassine envelope on the card I added the Kiss love note inside. All of these new items are available in the Occasions Mini. Lastly I stamped For the Newlyweds from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set then punched it out with the Full Heart Punch, then adhered it inside the card so it would show through the card front. The top picture is of the card standing then I wanted to show the punched out front better so I layed the card down and tried to get a picture that way. If you are interested in any of the items I used please visit my Stampin' Up! website. Thanks for visiting!

DUSTING OFF A FUN STAMP SET

This week and last I received some precious goodies from our new Occasions Mini and our Sale-a-Bration catalogs and have been enjoying creating projects. But today I thought I'd get out an '08 set, Love You Much and created several projects that I'll post over the next few days. I wanted to create a simple project and I came up with this card. I used Kraft and Very Vanilla c/s. I began by stamping the background with the 3 heart stamp using Close to Cocoa classic ink; I "stamped it off" before stamping on the c/s. I then used the Lovely Letters stamp set and stamped the word love with Real Red classic ink on the Very Vanilla c/s. I punch the letters out with the Full Heart punch. After adhering the vanilla hearts to the card I added the off-white pearl halves from the Pretties Kit, then I added Real Red ribbon to complete the look. I have to tell you that I really like this card; it's not difficult to make but it's pretty in it's simplicity, at least that's what I think of it! I hope you like it too; thanks for visiting!

VALENTINE TREAT CARD

Here is a card I created yesterday. The picture on top is of the card "standing" the one below is laying flat. I saw a similar project made with the Movers and Shapers heart shape die. As I do not have this die for the Big Shot, I used my large heart punch! Voila! A Valentine card and treat in one! I used Real Red and Very Vanilla c/s, our new Sending Love dsp which is inb our new Occasions Mini catalog; then I added some of our new Pretty in Pink satin ribbon...very happy with how this turned out. Oh, did you notice I used our new Scallop Trim border punch on the Very Vanilla? This punch is FREE! If you want to know how just send me an e-mail at jamnscrappin@gmail.com. Thanks for visiting!

HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!

Today was my husband's 60th birthday! Seems like just yesterday we were 17, holding hands, walking down the hallways of high school together going to class! Every year when I sit down to create cards for him I have a hard time deciding on a design. He likes plain, simple; nothing that appears frilly! So I was worried about using this SAB cake stamp (Happy Moments #119125 clear mount), it has flowers; but I loved the cake design so I used it but stamped it in Basic Grey, the same color as the base c/s of the card, giving it a tone-on-tone look. I used a piece of the Night and Day dsp from the Holiday Mini as the side border but also the "typed" paper under the torn edge of the Basic Black is from the same dsp. I added a piece of Basic Black c/s. The sentiment is also from a SAB set (Whimsical Words #119119 clear mount) and I used our Whisper White Craft ink to stamp it on the Basic Black c/s. I then used chip board numbers that I inked with Rose Red Craft ink. Hubby was very pleased with the card which of course pleased me no end! Thanks for visiting!!!

SWEET PEA FELT FLOWERS

This is a fun new embellishment by Stampin' Up! You can find them in our new Occasions Mini and they are just too fun and sweet! I used Rose Red c/s as card base and layered with So Saffron c/s and some of our new Sweet Pea dsp. I used a thin strip of Old Olive c/s as the flower stem and added a piece of Tempting Torquise ribbon. The stamp set used is our Wonderful/Favorites. The Sweet Pea felt flowers come as packaged in picture. They can be used as is or layered to give new looks. Thanks for visiting!
